Ashley Hirst
CEO
Ashley is the CEO of the Onda Group. Previously, he has been the CUO and CTO of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, CUO and COO of AIG EMEA, Head of the Advanced Data Science at AIG EMEA & US, and previously, was at McKinsey for 8 years. He lives in London with his wife, four children, two cats, and one dog.
Alex Jomaa
Chief Underwriting Officer
Formerly Senior Cyber Underwriter at leading LIoyd’s syndicate Tokio Marine Kiln, Alex has over 10 years of experience in the London insurance market. A law graduate with a track record of establishing global (re)insurance portfolios, Alex was twice voted Underwriter of the Year (2016 and 2017) in Insurance Insider’s Cyber Rankings.
Frédéric Gatte
Group Head of Cyber Risks / France
Frédéric manages and supervises all Onda activities in France. He is also responsible for risk modeling for the Group. He was previously Head of Cyber Risks at Diot Siaci. A former senior consultant in nuclear engineering and risk management with various international organizations, including CEA and DGA in France and NATO in the UK, he has over 25 years’ experience in risk management.
Gillian Harvey
Group Head of Compliance
Having trained as a lawyer, Gillian transitioned to working in regulatory compliance for financial services including oversight, banking, and insurance. Formerly the Deputy Group Head of Compliance at Athora Holding Ltd, she holds over 10 years international compliance experience working for insurers, MGAs, and start-ups. Her experience includes Chubb, CFC, HDI Global Specialty, and Amtrust Europe, alongside the Financial Ombudsman Service, and various consulting positions, where Gillian worked on prominent legislation and regulatory change projects.
Helene Vieyra
Chief People Officer
Helene is Chief People Officer for Onda Group, leading the delivery of HR solutions, including strategic HR planning, business transformation, talent acquisition, organisational design and talent management. Helene brings over two decades of experience in complex, matrix enterprise software organisations spending the past 15 years within various aspects of cyber security. She has expertise in international expansion; talent strategy and management; strategic planning and business operations. Helene holds a first class Bsc in Management from Royal Holloway, University of London.
Patrick Cannon
Chief Claims Officer
Formerly Head of Cyber Claims for leading Lloyd’s syndicate, Tokio Marine Kiln, Patrick then joined Marsh as Head of Cyber Claims, where his team won ‘Claims Service Solution of the Year’ at the Insurance Times Claims Excellence Awards for 2023. FCII qualified and Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, Patrick boasts over 20 years’ experience in the London insurance market.
Kate Schulze
Deputy General Counsel
Kate currently serves as an attorney in the Legal Department at Onda AI, Inc. With more than 20 years of experience as an attorney, Chief Compliance & Ethics Officer and board director and consultant for insurance, financial services and nonprofit companies, Kate is a seasoned executive who is highly regarded for her legal and public policy expertise. Earlier in her career, Kate was a litigation attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice and a Senior Counsel at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Ed McGough
CTO
Ed is the CTO of the Onda Group. Previously, he was the Co-founder and CTO of Joyn – a US insurance business, Blackboard – AIG spinout of digital insurance business and CTO of AIG Advanced Data Science Group.
Stuart McMillan
Distribution Director
With over 13 years of experience in the international insurance markets and having previously led Coalition’s expansion across the North of England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, Stuart has held roles in Underwriting, Broking, BD, and CS, driving growth and launching new products. Richard Hodson
Business Development Director
Richard has a long history with both International and Regional Insurance Brokers, most recently as an Investor Director at UKGlobal Broking Group. Richard has long been a passionate advocate of cyber insurance.
Richard is a regular contributor to the press and has appeared on panels discussing all things cyber insurance.
Alexis de Maistre
Commercial DirectorAlexis held specialized underwriting positions in marine and aviation before becoming a broker and managing regional teams at Allianz Commercials, Suisscourtage and Gras Savoye. He will be responsible for promoting the brand and rolling out the Onda solution to brokers in the French market.
Fabiana Zambrano
Head of Product
Fabiana has a B.S. in Production Engineering and a M.S. in Management Science and Engineering. Fabiana has 10 years’ experience with companies like AIG, and since 2018 she has been working as Head of Product for organizations like Blackboard Insurance and Joyn Insurance. Her skills in product strategy include road mapping and leading Agile development engineers, designers, and product management teams.
Rachel Johannson
Senior Development Underwriter
Rachel has over a decade of experience in Property & Casualty Insurance, working with MGAs. She recently joined Onda after spending five years at Eaton Gate MGU, where she advanced to the role of Head of Existing Business. Before her tenure at Eaton Gate, Rachel began her career at small insurance brokers and transitioned to underwriting with Bluefin Underwriting, where she laid the foundation for her expertise in the field. With a proven track record of success, Rachel brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her new role at Onda.
Rachel Abi Fadel
Underwriting Assistant
As Assistant Underwriter, Rachel is responsible for analyzing insurance risks and maintaining service quality. She holds a Master’s degree in International Sales Management 4.0 from ESCP Business School (Paris/Berlin) and a Bachelor’s degree from EDHEC. In addition to her professional internships, Rachel has been involved in a number of associative projects, notably as vice-president of an ESCP association working for women’s rights under the aegis of the United Nations Foundation.
Morgan Smith-Allen
Underwriting Assistant
Formerly a Networking and Cyber Security Specialist at Computacenter, Morgan’s skills are underpinned by a Masters in Mathematics from the University of Exeter.
Jamie O’Leary
Vice President of Software Engineering
Jamie enjoys building software and building software teams. With over 20 years’ experience of developing software in multiple industries, he enjoys the exposure to different domains and the chance to apply what he has learned.
Derek Platt
Senior Technical Accounting Officer
Derek brings over 25 years of hands-on expertise in the London insurance market to Onda. Formerly Accounts Manager at Xchanging, Derek’s comprehensive experience stems from time spent with Thomas Miller, Aon, Travellers and International Risk Solutions.
Larisa Saad
Marketing Manager
Larisa has over eight years of marketing experience, with a significant focus on B2B marketing spanning six years. While she recently embarked on her journey in the cyber insurance sector, her background encompasses diverse industries such a oil, manufacturing, and autonomous vehicles. Larisa’s marketing acumen covers a spectrum of online and offline strategies, covering every aspect from planning through to execution.
Benjamin Dadey
Compliance Assistant
Ben graduated from the University of Reading, majoring in Philosophy and Computer Science. He has an interest in technology and cyber, which led him to support the compliance function in his current role. Ben brings a fresh perspective, which supports us to make waves in the constantly evolving field of cyber insurance.
Darren Meehan
Lead Software Engineer
Darren has a BSc. in Computer Science, and while new to the insurance sector he brings experience from working in two previous cyber security companies.
He is responsible for building out Onda’s backend systems.
Carla Zucchi
Product Designer
Carla brings over 12 years of design experience, 8 of which are in the UX and Product Design field. Her expertise encompasses prototyping, user testing, and creating development-ready files. Throughout her career, she has collaborated extensively with web and software engineers. She loves drawing and making comics for fun and is open to pretty much any art-related hobby.
Marco Rodrigues
Senior Frontend Developer
Seasoned Web Development professional with over 10 years of experience specializing in Frontend Development and UX/UI. Proficient in cutting-edge technologies including React.js, JavaScript, Typescript, and CSS, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality web solutions. Certified ScrumMaster adept at Agile methodologies, team leadership, and strategic project management. Bilingual in Portuguese and English, with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a history of driving projects to successful completion. Passionate about leveraging technical expertise and collaborative skills to enhance user experiences and achieve organizational goals.

Yuri is the Lead Frontend Engineer at the Onda Group. Previously, he held roles as a founder and CTO at numerous Bay Area startups in the food delivery and FinTech sectors. He has also worked as an individual contributor at larger companies such as Beats Music, Cisco, and Apple.

Stephen is part of the Software engineering and product development team. He previously worked in the consultancy, telecoms and recruitment sectors involving the delivery of projects in 5G radio software, automated deployment and CI/CD solutions
